A Garden for All Seasons

Fibonacci spiral These flowers are fired to stoneware and are frost-resistant. This set is based on the Fibonacci series of numbers; a series underlying much of our natural world. The numbers start at I + I =2, I + II = 3, II + III = 5, and so on up to 8.

I intend to add the numbers XIII and XXI at some point.  This might take a while as it means making 34 more flowers and about 12 more flower pots, although it will extend the spiral considerably.

The shapes of the flower pots are based on the petals of a flower in Gaudi’s Parc Guell in Barcelona.

The colours of the flowers echo the numbers, and the whole can be formed into a spiral, circle or fit together in whichever way you like.
